Of course it happens regularly, because there is always someone willing to sell down to 11.5c in the auction. If someone is willing to sell 50,000 shares at 11.5c, then I just bid 49,999 shares at 12c, and the match happens at 11.5c and not 12c. Just saved $250.
Why would you NOT do this, is my question.
