Apparently, companies are not going lay-off off a lot of workers until recession is confirmed, or even well underway, because they were too aggressive during Covid, and had trouble rehiring on the back end. Especially, because Covid finished quicker than expected, and these days the 'down turns' always turn out to be short lived or false alarms, there is an overall reluctance to get rid of staff. Could end up being costly for them, but I don't care.
