You missed the main purpose of why WAR was created... Increasing Wilson's FUM and fees.
Most of the activism have been achieved through scrip swap, growing WGB, WAM and WLE FUM. The strategy worked quite well as long as Geoff's LIC were trading at premium to NTA. It's not the case anymore thus the slowdown in take over.

This has worked quite well for me at the early stage of WAR - APL, EAI, PAF and even some other ideas which have closed their discount on their own like QRI.

Time to update your article. WAR just crossed the 5% stake for VG1 and QRI came back to trade at NTA after inclusion in the S&P300.
