    Reminds me of the moronic thinking behind the 1st home buyers grants in this country.

    Let’s hand out $10k grants to tens of thousands of people to give them a leg up in a tough property market.

    Then they all show up on auction day bidding all over the top of each other and the ‘winner’ pays $30k more than if the grant never existed !
