Harvard professor Michael E. Porter, who chaired an economic group at Davos
criticises the Obama Stimulus Package in todays’s BBC Business Blog.

Stimulus plan is a product of the political process in Washington and he feels that

    ‘Washingtons Broken’
    ‘Washington doesn’t work’
‘Washington not good at strategic thinking’
‘Washington only for short term planning’

    Much of plan involves -
    - Pork barrel projects
    - Chance to get old Bills passed
    - Infrastructure projects are mainly local roads, with minimal effect.

‘Overwhelming sentiment at Davos, that as written, this stimulus is more of
a ”Grab Bag” than any kind of strategic investment.’
