This is my count of all the help so far:
- Waiving of government fees e.g. fuel excise, traffic charges etc and back-dated to 1 Feb
- Airports around the world have already waived gate fees/flight obligations
- Job Keeper basically transferring $1500 per fortnight to 20,000 who have been stood down, thereby reducing risk of redundancy
- Underwritten international flights to bring overseas Australians back home.
- Freight volumes climbing as ports/shipping have stalled
- Oil price has collapsed
- The gvmt have said they will not be bailing out Virgin, but offering industry-wide help e.g. underwriting more international flights
The coronavirus situation in Australia doesn't look as bad as other countries. I see domestic travel recovering, particularly in WA, NT and SA.
