A mention of caution I would suggest from 1/7/2020 provided we keep testing for those that want it and keep international borders closed.
We are still only in week 5 of the strict lockdown and we have dropped the cases to small levels. Now given it takes 7-14 days for the symptoms to show there will be 4 cycles of 14 days until 1/7 so we will have just about eliminated it by then and the country can go back to near normality.
Those that are opposing the view are probably very negative in all aspects of life. Our main cause of transmission was overseas travellers coming back to Australia. Social distancing, which will now be the norm, has been another influence in reducing risk.
PS : I’ve seen some shops at my shopping centre which have been closed for past 4 weeks re-opening today. And I got toilet paper for the first time since mid-March, yippee!
