.LOL, Putin does NOT want to restore the USSR. He objected to the ethnic cleansing of Russian speakers in the Donbas, as well as the presence of NATO troops on his door step. The world almost came to WW3 during the cuban missile crisis. NATO in Ukraine is a MUCH bigger provocation than Russian missiles in Cuba, due to the geography and topography of the Russian land mass.

As for Serbia, the project does indeed have some sovereign risk, but not because of Russia. The risk arises from moves by the Council of Europe, just yesterday, to recognise the break-away narco-state of Kosovo.The C of E's parliamentary assembly overwhelmingly passed a report recommending membership, with even representatives from non-recognising states voting in support.

If things get hot, will the EU sanction Serbia? Will the Serbs respond by nationalising western asset?. Two years I would have laughed at such a suggestion, but not anymore. See the criminal theft of Russian assets and the destruction of Nordstream. The west is now run by dangerous zealots.
