For people worried about short term fluctuations I think this morning's open was telling. No-one put their bids on the board and were waiting to see how low the sellers were going to push the SP to see what bargain they could get. Once the downward push on the SP stalled after the open, around 9.8c, the rush to buy saw price pushed to 11c with 6M bids on the board at 10.0 and 10.5 thereafter. Extremely strong push up, because there are actually a lot of buyers. I don't think this is going to drift lower due to a lack of buyers, so I suspect the 'gap filling' rumination is unwarranted.
