I think you misunderstood Boris.
I already owned 7,700 STO, so was given 4529 rights. If entitled I could subscribe to the rights & pay A$3.85 for 4529 shares. Instead of that I bought STO on market & will sell my rights. In doing so, I effectively reduce the cost of my 4529 shares by the amount I get for my rights.
Buy on market @ 3.90
Sell STOR @ -0.30
effective buy in price = 3.60...
Other alternative is subscribe for 3.85. This saves me (at current rights price) 0.25.
