The Snowy Mountains Hydro. 2 electricity project is experiencing significant delays- just as well Australia has plenty of gas, coal, & oil to make sure we can keep baseload power on 365 days pa!.

It seems very likely Australia will follow the pattern of many countries around the world, where it is becoming increasingly realised that renewables (at least for the medium term) are FAR from being able to provide guaranteed power 365 days pa.

Fossil fuel prices, therefore, are likely to remain quite high for many years- especially with the shortages due to the widespread bans, by western countries, on Russian energy imports.
