I wonder what the CEO of Ørsted thinks of that statement.

"Are these problems for wind turbines related only to some geographic locations?
Or apply to all areas? How cost effective is electricty produced by wind turbines, both on-shore & off-shore?"

This attracted my attention because I know Europe has heaps of offshore turbines. The last time I flew over the English channel (2018?) I could not believe the number of offshore turbines there were. A bit of Googling came up with Ørsted.
24% of UK electricity is wind generated. IIRC The Danes, or was it Dutch, have a very large body of water which is wind exposed and in relatively shallow water which they have used for wind farms.
The UK did have trouble with energy a few years back because of the lack of wind and Europe to the end of last year. So geography is an issue and you'll soon have a problem when the wind stops.

But it still relies on wind.
