Just a little bit more of fantasy that we are expected to find impressive. Well, it certainly does that.
What whiz kid thought to proffer this in support of STO's future development.
How impressive is this. Thiis is what they are suggesting.
Get renewable energy from the grid, or STO produced using solar or wind.
Turn it into Green Hydrogen, presumably by electrolysis.
Get CO2 by direct air capture (DAC). We are now venturing into the unknown.
Gather up CO2 locally captured by STO and other industries.
Mix the two to make methane (CH4) in a Methanation Process. e-methane they then call it.
Pipe it, liquefy it, and ship it off to Japan, who has a target of 1% e-methane by 2030.
Japan can then dump all of the captured CO2 back into the atmosphere. How cute.
How's that for shifting to problem from our back yard to elsewhere, overseas.
This whole process is mainly dependent upon renewable energy.
Of course, anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.
