I trade with my husband - he does the FA and I do the TA. He has a strong bias toward CBA, which we hold long term and trade through the options market. He regards CBA as a far safer stock. My TA views are definitely coloured by his strong FA views so it is difficult to be objective.
If you plan to trade, whether it is by using TA or FA there is no substitute for doing research and learning as much as you can. It is a lot easier to lose money than to make it. If you are interested in learning TA you can't go far wrong than by looking at any of Robb's videos. He puts them up on weeking charting - just look for multiple thumbs up.
