please excuse my inexperience, if a company sells off an asset ...say a mining tennement for $15 million for cash would this amount be added to its market cap? the asset is not on there balance sheet?
also is there a genral rule in explorers finding coal? i.e if they ann they have 50 million tonns of coal in ground but not proven. Does the market say value this at say 50c per ton so 50m x.50c= $25m added to market cap?
