Just reading through this chain I wanted to highlight a very important distinction when it comes to material shareholding and that is between relevant interest and legal title. While there are some other factors the key point is that relevant interest is your economic exposure and legal title is control for the purpose of voting etc. Why this is important is that the movements in WHSP`s holdings have nothing to do with selling. If they did they would need to lodge a change in relevant interest notice. They are either providing the shares as collateral or lending them. That means they still own the gains or losses of those shares. So pay attending to changes in relevant interest not legal title, which is what that top shareholders info seems to be.
