Stock Market explained using rabbits

A merchant arrived in a village and rented a large cage.
Then he advertised an offer of $10 each for live rabbits.
There were lots about so villagers set about trapping them and claiming their $10
A few days later there were less rabbits on the loose so he doubled the price to $20.
The villagers scrambled to find more rabbits to cash in.
Then he raised the price to $50.
Behind the scenes the village cage manager gathered some chosen villagers and said
"If I sell you the rabbits in the cage for $40 you can onsell them for an instant $10 profit."
In no time all the caged rabbits were sold.
And the merchant was never seen again.
