Moonta - I've seen many large trades in small companies. Often it is just funds, or large stakeholders shuffling their holdings.
Eg Funds churning from resource fund to small company fund (which provides broking commissions, or booking of desired account positions for bonuses, marketing etc...)
Or large holders shuffling between family members, or trusts, companies & super holdings to optimise their portfolio tax position eg. offset capital gains & losses etc...
Unless volume is accompanied by a good price move or an interesting market disclosure announcement then I wouldnt get too excited.
