Just want to point out the large jump up in SP at close with big volume, 1 M shares 25% of daily volume. This is a trait of most stocks at close in both directions. Many on this bord when they see it in the down direction attribute to all sorts of evil entities doing it for evil reasons. Not understanding that it happens both ways and it is just the end of day reporting of registering of trades that were off market.
So you think profits will increase dramatically to lower the very high PE of about 150 rather than SP go down. I hope for many on this board you are correct
Please Explain Hopeful with at least one example How Stagflation has ever been good for a country! Stage means stagnate with no change up or down. Inflation means most basics are going up so when Stagflation happens anything that is stagnant is actually decreasing in value. In the case of Japan the largest and most recent example of this their SM and CPI were stagnant for about 30 years with WW inflation going up. Meaning there economy contracted when compared to rest of world.
The problem is no one has yet found a tool that can fix this. Anything that helps one of them makes the other a lot worse. So things like interest rates changes do not work. BOJ even dropped interest rates into negative territory and it did not help.
You once said you owned many apartments in NYC. If inflation was going up would you freeze everyone's rent? Yet another Weehawken prediction down the drain unless you consider -$0.20 a pop
