Your right and the west has invested too heavily into China with machinery and IP to risk pissing them off too much with diversification. Deals will keep being made instead with them. I worked years ago in the aluminuim industry and we taught the Chinese to roll foil product. We had Chinese stickers all over the control desk for them to translate. Then they bought a small rolling mill from our company and took it home. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Like I said...game, set, match. China wont be suffering any more "100 years of humiliation ". Xi visions China to be the manufacturing hub of the world. Their oil imports from Russia are accelerating because they need more energy. Xi focus on stimulus now is by ramping up manufacturing to offset the collapsing real estate sector. . I just wished in the subject of manufacturing ONLY the US and Australia had their vision. The two of us would be powerhouses. How Lynas fairs amongst all this I find concerning and hope loyalties remain with us and even China keeps buying our 30pc REs.
