On short interest I wanted to add my experience regarding anticipation of a squeeze.
Having been on the ASX many years watching and trading stocks with high short interest. I have found a lot of short interest on the ASX is hedging verse naked short selling. Which means the people who have sold short are also long. With a simple cross trade they can close out their position without having to scramble and buy on market.
They are missing out on gains from this new bull run. (LYC broke through some technical points this week. Ie break out). But I doubt they are sweating on a loss thinking where are they going to find 100,000,000 shares from.
I think the stars have aligned on fundamentals for Lynas for a re rate. Beyond my core holding I brought more for a trade last month as I see a lot of tail winds heading LYC way.
