You are really hung up on shorters. It is also clear you are clueless about how they work. You keep looking at daily volume which is irrelevant. To make money day trading you have to play both sides, up and so daily volume is impacted b y short term trades. Take a look at Shortman the shorts have stayed in. a very narrow range between 8.6% and 9.6 % since early November. Meaning they have had little effect on day to day and week to week SP, Yet you continue to blame shorts because you have no idea what is happening.
Also to short a share you have to borrow it. To loan it you have to own it. So one share shorted by shorter is covered by one buy by loaner. Net change Zero. Sorters just think the stock is going down and they can make money on that. No shorter has any desire to make stock go down just to make money if it does. They hope for it but know there shorting will not make it move.
