Hi Hajji,

Trying to pick a mining spec is like the holy grail, but gp pointed out a few things. Posted this once before, its a checklist to use when researching, small mining explorers.

- does its ground really have any potential?
- does it have sufficient cash for its exploration program?
- is it a nearology play/greenfields/brownfields?
- is it actively exploring, check reports to see how much money spent on real exploration? geos on board?
- are management really focussed, knowledgeable or just in it to line their pockets or maintain salary/lifestyle
- cash spent on admin?
- institutional backing? shareholding by directors/mgt?
- tightly run ship, control of costs.
- current price for metal/mineral, supply/demand for it?
- risks; sovereign, operational and market.

All above is doing it the hard way, there are plenty of great spec researchers on HC (a good start is John435). You can subscribe to an analyst newsletter - Locantro looks at spec explorers/miners.
