Just checked the BOM rain outlook for WA.
The Jan March forecast is a 50% to 85% chance of 50mm rain. The chart includes the Kalgoorlie gold belt.
Reads like La nina is expected to retain its strength until end of summer.
Could be that production may be significantly affected and that exploration at Lake Cowan slowed.
Therefore, the March qrtr could be anyones guess. If the March target isn,t met due to weather, then they will have to go like the clappers 2nd qrtr to meet their six month target.
Be interesting to read what downtime was lost.
I,m being realistic and patient. Beacuse of the weather threat, I believe the June qrtr and not the March, will be the catalyst to be in or out for a lot of SHs.
The guesser who picked the right number in the Dec Qrtr comp may be the only SH to come out with something after the report.
Hope he/she raises a "slangevar" glass to the poor unfortunates who missed out on this nice drop.
