It's not a great comparison, because when BAL launched it was only at a few health food and specialist stores. It has taken them a long time (let's say 6 years) to get the shelf facings that BKL have gotten in 5 months. The key difference is that BAL started building demand from the ground up and forced retailers to range the product because consumers wanted to buy it. BAL created demand and then tried their hardest to build supply to keep up. BKL/BGA had no interest in IF until it was a raging success and then they thought, hmmm, let's make some easy money by selling IF. Seems like no one asked the tough questions (it was a rush job) and thought about if consumes actually wanted BKL to offer IF. Yes they are a trusted vitamin band, but that's not enough.

It's a 'build it and they will come' strategy, and yes it was very clever of them to build it and launch the product so quickly, but as of now, no one has or is coming...

But hey, maybe if we do a few TV adds and drop the price 20% that will work?? NO,NO, NO!!

I'm sorry if you are a BKL shareholder and you thought this would get the SP to $250. BKL are great at vitamins and they should stick to what they know IMO

I'm also hoping we won't see any 50% off price promos on Bellamys products as I keep seeing with Blackmores either. Just not great for the brand and cheapens the image.

That's my rant of the day I could be wrong!
