"Benambra base metal (Zn-Cu-Ag) Project located in north-eastern Victoria.
The Wilga prospect comprises a single lens of copper and zinc-rich massive sulphide with a strike extent of ~300 metres, a down-dip extent of ~240 metres and a maximum thickness of 37 metres. Denehurst Ltd undertook mining of a portion of this massive sulphide lens between 1992 and 1996.
The Currawong prospect comprises five stacked lenses of massive sulphide separated by faults, the largest of which is of similar dimensions to the Wilga sulphide lens. The stacked lenses are interpreted to be the result of fault repetition of what was most likely originally a single lens of massive sulphide. The Currawong lenses have not been mined previously.
Based on the commitments made as part of the tender process, Jabiru has a statutory expenditure obligation of $19.6m for exploration work programmes over the first five years of the project, with $3.1m to be expended in the first year of the term of the licence." extract from JML site
