    My opinion is yes it's a little like a punt on the Melbourne cup. The difference being if my horse doesn't come in with a place, i always have tomorrow to try my luck, and the next and the next.......

    I dont consider the stock market as a gamble, but if you do no research and have no idea how to trade then there is a very big possibility that you are at huge risk.

    Property can also be a a risky investment. Some suburbs annualized capital growth for the past 1-3-5-10 yrs is pretty poor. I lived in Northmead (Sydney) with my neighbors paying over 550k for their tiny 400sqm property. They would be lucky to get what they paid for it now. With all that interest paid go and do the maths.

    My advice is diversification is the key.

    I love the stock market, people who bag it are just gutless and jealous because they have no idea.
