You hardly ever read or hear a story where some one made money.

Another popular falacy is that share investing or trading is complicated and only suitable for financial wizards or specialists.

Most people believe that unless one has access to inside information, one can not succed.

Most people can not do basic math to work out their returns.

They will proudly tell you that they doubled their money on the property after ten years and do not realise that the return is only about 7.2% compound and half of it is eroded by inflation.

There is a lot of so called profesionals who activly encourage these popular falacies, because they make good money from advising or managing without any guarantees or taking any responsibility for the advice they give..
