My beliefs are based on being a professional gambler in the past, also having friends who do the same, from sports betting to poker, to blackjack to the horses and to the stock market.
The issue with this thread is that those who think they are defending the stock market by saying its not gambling, just dont have a real concept of what gambling is.
It is simplest description gambling is, taking a risk on an unknown outcome, which certainly covers the stock market.
I am not saying this is a bad thing, unlike society i have no stigma towards gambling. But the sooner traders realize what they are doing is gambling it will allow them to acheve better results and a better mindset.
