I hardly thing in today's society that gives you a monopoly.

Aside from having several close friends touched by suicide. I have also held a position that required me to read various suicide notes.

Although there may well be a percentage that are a result of rational or conscious (I had a friend whose brother suicided and she felt the same as you, I also have a friend whose mother suicided after the birth of her 5 child she feels the opposite to you) I can tell you from my experience of reading their final thoughts that in the vast majority of situations suicide does not originate from a cowardly place.

Hopefully, most of us will never make it to that place.
