Hi Mark
supermapes is free to re post without the last line flame.
You have all been told numerous times to play the ball and not the man.
Good Oil is free to post on any thread he choses and unless terms of use are breached then his or any other contrary opinions are free to be posted.
Please don't post telling other people to put him on ignore as that is flaming.
However mods have given the same advice to anyone who feels they can't handle his posts.
Mods have such lattitude as to offer some advice but if posters do it the flame wars just either start or escalate.
We then get massive amounts of TOU's because there are members who wish to read information about the company and go off and do their own further research. Many many members don't post and they don't want to read the trash fighting.
Debate the POINTS by all means but don't insult each other with baits, flames or simply attempting to stir the pot.
You have a choive when it comes to contrary opinion, either ignore it or debate it but don't flame the poster.
To those that are negative on stocks I would also ask that you consider the reason for your post before you write it.
Is it really about the stock or is the agenda to have a dig at other posters because battle lines have been drawn?
It is difficult for mods to tell the reasons behind some of the negative posts and posters, however their opinion is till valued and unless we feel that the soul purpose of their post/s is to aggrieve holders then those opinions will and should be allowed.
Banning posters from a thread as a temporary measure is always an option if we believe the agenda of the poster is not genuine however if the thareds on a particular stock simply turns into a flame war then you run the risk of the stock code being removed from any posting at all and none of us want that surely.
Tough time for most stocks atm so the feelings and emotions are running a bit high no doubt.
So please both the upsiders and the downsiders...chill a little bit if possible and stay focused on the stock or topic and not other posters.
Modding good posts for the sake of one line error of judgement is harsh but we have no choice.
No one wins a flame war
