Ball park transportation cost per barrel of oil from Canning Basin is around AUD 10 per barrel i.e. from Northern Canning to Perth on triple road train, current Perth Basin some where around 18,000 barrels per day is being trucked.
Big CB oil success would require storage tanks in either Broome (difficult) or Port Hedland. Major success (north 20,000 bpd) needs a pipeline to coast then storage vessel with shuttle tankers to Singapore etc. What a great problem to have
As to ARQ CB play, they have built up the exploration team for the Canning, they have the information and they have the funds to burn.
I expect some success this drilling season.
