The Desiderata Investing Rules For Dummies : 1) Buy low, Sell high. But don't brag. 2) Never buy when there are two sequential "bad news" announcements. Even with one, knives are very sharp. 3) Don't try to time the market - wait till beyond the bottom/trough to buy and leave some profit on the table at the highs. 4) Try to eliminate 20% of your "bad buys" and you will do much better. Deeply analyse every loss. 5) 10 stocks are just right for enough diversification. 6) Management MUST have skin in the game. 7) PE's above 20 should be avoided. There may be good profit in them but leave them to others. 8) Buy $1 in value for 50cents. Intangibles should be eliminated in your balance sheet analysis. 9) Buy in chunks, never all at once. 10) The market is ALWAYS right. Respect it and continue learning.
