Anyhoo, the article says Stone has sought to conduct due diligence on CRE, with a view to making a counter offer. It says that it is understood that Stone has indicated to CRE that it does not intend to accept FML's current offer.

It's a long and good article. Check it out if you can. I was in CRE, sold out too early, perhaps.
