There is considerable social pressure for women who experience violence - family and cultural pressures make it extremely difficult to report in the first place and leaving what is usually a tight social circle is very hard. Family culture also tends to blame the woman for not being a good wife
i can give you plenty of examples and while that’s not solid data I’d suggest that it is consistent. We don’t evaluate attitudes towards women when we hand out visas but I think there is plenty of evidence that some of our immigrants come from countries where both laws and attitudes towards women are along way from our own
are all immigrants from such countries abusive? Of course not. But I wouldn’t be going on statistics about reported incidents
