Yesterday Hezbollah launched 115 missiles into Israel, Hamas launched an unknown amount [ to me]. Israel responds. Simple answer = return hostages and stop launching missiles into Israel = end of conflict.
Proportionate response is a long dead concept, the vast majority of Palestinians support Hamas, Hamas hides weapons in hospitals, schools, etc, what precisely do people expect Israel to do ??? just sit back and take it ???? to end the conflict the answer lies with Hamas and the Palestinians and also Hezbollah.
Even if a ceasefire deal is reached, Hamas will not hold out because they have vowed to eradicate Israel, thus the circle of killings will begin again with Israel retaliating in kind. Israel will not lay back and do nothing....... [ I don't know the answers] but what I do know is that when Hamas / Palestinians vow to ensure Israel no longer exists and around the world we keep hearing the chant "From the river to the sea.......... " etc, The ME will never be at peace.
