Or should the media simply not be allowed to report on sexual assault cases until there has been an outcome in the courts? It would give both the complainant and the alleged offender better protection. There have been so many men's reputations permanently tarnished in recent years by allegations where the man was later found not guilty, but that reputational damage sticks. Take Craig McLachlan for example or Geoffrey Rush, how many people associate those names with sex offending yet neither was found guilty ... the alleged victims in those cases no one remembers though
