Once again most of this is a press beat up.

Cars only use petrol when they are running. Turn them off. The use of petrol is discretionary.

I could never understand why it was necessary to drive a ton of metal around just to move one person and I still can't. It's just ego, not transport.

Further more, we have wasted petrol. The price of a litre of milk is about the same as the price of a litre of petrol. Milk is produced with very little infrastructure compared with petrol.

Yet we value milk and waste petrol.

It's all over for big cars and wasteful usage except for the rich.

At least we won't have to cover the world with bitumen.
