Aspen, I wonder if the change of chairman announced today signals a shift in strategy...

Mal Randall, whilst offering excellent service to IOH and brings outstanding industry experience, doesn't seem interested in progressing beyond exploration - at least not yet.

I was at the AGM and when asked about seeking rail access he answered by saying that it was not a priority "until we know what we've got."

Recently I was reading over some media from 2005 when IOH floated and Randall quoted Confucius when asked about strategy. It was something along the lines of: A young chef asks a master chef, "how do you cook the perfect Peking duck?" and the master chef replies "first, you must get the duck."

I felt at the AGM his mindset had not shifted a great deal despite having found about 650 Million tons of ducks... It's time to start seasoning and cooking that Peking duck and hopefully the new chair will be driving things in that direction.
