I'll be interested in what happens if there is no ann tomorrow. I reckon some of those who were stopped out today and only found out tonight ( I fortunately removed my 80c stop last night) will be trying to get back in at less than a dollar so we could see some strong action at open.
I've decided to quite using stop losses on my volatile specs that I want to hold for CGT discount. I only hold stocks with decent fundamental prospects and my experience with stop losses in the past two months of volatility is that I get stopped out near the bottom and by the time I know the shares have been sold the price is back above my sell price and I've scored a $55 brokerage by the time I'm back in. I'll only use stops now on stocks I've decided I'm willing to sell on weakness by trailing them up with a tight stop loss.
IMO still good buying if you can get them below $1.05, though I doubt it will be for long. GDN plays into the short-term traders hands once again!
