Sorry, have not had much chance to look at this thread and the original question, BUT it was my understanding and learning that FIFO - First in First out - was the only rule applicable with CGT. PIcking and choosing which parcel to sell when? Sounds great and I would love to stand humbly corrected, but are you sure? Do you know which section of the (revised?) act pertains to this.

Just a side caveat note - please everyone consult qualified accountant with experience in with "trading" and "investing" before making a decision in this area - the few hundred you spend can save you literally thousands of dollars, and the deductions available to a "trader" may astound you ;)
