I agree with what you are saying. Its no use "trading" these types of shares because the tax would kill the deal. When you know all the possible "ins & outs" of a share (company) and you trust your judgement, depending on your finances of course, you could try doing some short term trades on those same companies.
imo yesterday when that 1.05 level was taken out, it scared a lot of other traders who had their finger on the sell button (nervous). Yesterday was a good day for traders who knew this stock well. It was not a bad announcement, so based on that, a short term trade would have been worth it.
