pj, than can be a worthwhile strategy if you see (or anticipate) a large overall market decline. I move my superfund in and out of cash in one hit - sometimes it is easier to concentrate on just on or two sets of indicators such as the XJO, DOW or S&P. Yep you will always end up saying "I wish I had held that one" but troube is that is in hindsight and most likely it will be the one least expected.
