The banks are unquestionably suspect. They are selling dubious Products and taking the piss hugely with manipulated rates and exchange rates. And the charges OMG? They then say ‘oh look no more atm fees aren’t we nice? Meanwhile charges are automatically applied elsewhere so that the money just moves from that area to another and they think we are too gullible to notice. The government and as our lousy PM will attest, are in bed with the banks thus this legislation guarantees certain payback at a later date (suspect? Watch the position Morrison goes to on finishing politics). Ergo the system is corrupt AND broken and only the consumer pays for it. I hate banks, since Reagan and the rancid ‘Bernanke set’ colluded it has been downhill ever since. And that’s where Glass-Seagall met its demise.
