    Chinese tin exports in April dwindle
    It is reported that China’s official customs figures show extremely low tin exports in April.

    Data released indicated that shipments were again down by 99% YoY levels at only 15 tonnes of refined tin and alloy. Meanwhile refined tin imports were 1,254 tonnes up by 85% on April 2007. China has been a net importer of tin in seven of the last eight months since September 2007.

    China is also stepping up its imports of tin concentrates, which rose 16% YoY to 590 tonnes in April. YTD imports are up by 53% to 2,783 tonnes with Vietnam accounting for more than half the total.

    Chinese refined lead, zinc and tin exports dip in 4 months
    Interfax China reported that China's refined lead exports sank 69% YoY to 27,063 tonnes for the first four months of 2008, while refined zinc exports slumped 82% to 275,649 tonnes and refined tin and tin alloy exports plummeted 97% to 381 tonnes.

    29.05.08 ) interesting read, i also hope and pray that takeover of mlx is not near and its a disturbing trend watching our country get sold underneath us to overseas investors:-(
