They were 50 km off the coast of Java and deliberately sabotaged their engines. Our navy should have made sure they had water and a bit of food then said "bon voyage" and left! Call the Indonesians to advise them there is a disabled boat in their waters.
Can't be too difficult - it's not rocket science. As gofish says it's not our responsibility in the slightest.
