significant events for this year as I see them
1. US Marine Corps RFP for egineering and manufacturing - that is not a contract award, it is the Marine Corp asking for a detailede spec showing how the 312 multi-barreled systems with be produced - effectively a request to see the production plan - if they like the production plan, then later they award the contract to proceed with manufacturing - as such, the RFP is a necessary milestone on the way to a $ contract
2. Force Protection - US Military - 21 contracts already awarded for a $1 billion project - MST has already been told that it's involved in 9 of those contracts - all every contractor is waiting on now is the procurement office to deliver final detailed contracts to each Head Contractor, showing how much of what they want, and for how much - when those are receied, we will know how much we stand to earn - we are not directly responsible for deliering production/manufacturing plans to the Military, our Head Contractors are, and I think this has been done already - this is my understanding, anyway - the company has been very low on detail surrounding this project.
3. Colt - this is the biggy in so many ways - Colt have already completed an evaluation around some form of production planning and found it feasible - what production that is, is unknown atm, but one could reasonably assume they and MST want to lead off with Maul first, given the high levels of demand from US law enforement, and the Canadian Government/Military, where Maul will be a big feature for the latter's small arms replacement program - then there are law enforement organisations internationally who want Maul - one can only assume the US military generally want the Maul for all of its many qualities, not least of which for the range of ammunition it uses -- sure, first runs will be to get trial Mauls into the hands of prospective buyers, but that also makes since where Colt has to spend the time ensuring its manufacturing process will be able to withstand high volume orders, so what plant they may establish this year in Florida, would only want to get a few of the production line while they prove up the production process for large scale manufacturing --- after initial high volume orders settle down, then they could perhaps turn their attention to more specialis items like the 3GL, and perhaps the Managed Lethality Grenade Launcher, but the latter was developed with Aust DSTO, so they could be an onshore production for the company here in Oz
4. Canada - there Small Arms Replacement Program has started with strong interest in the Maul - they already own a few - so the Colt deal seems to be critical for satisfying the Canadians demand for that product - what other products they want isn't clear atm, but I would suppose the 3GL is right up there too.
So tick off item number 3, and the company starts seeing substantial revenues come once Colt have nailed down the high volume manufacturing process - add to that the very high volumes of ammunition - and it's a range of ammunition remember for the Maul - and there starts to bear fruit substantial ongoing revenues.
Begin to throw some PE ratio calcs around and the SP starts looking rosey - first indications of size I think will be clearer when we know the proposed production capacity of what Colt propose to build in Florida - that should be a strong indiction of what annual production levels they want to see the facility able to maintain.
All of the above is soon to be set in train, after the world sees MST bed down its new capital needs at the end of the month, then everyone should have sufficient confidence to start issuing some serious sales orders etc
pardon any typos
good luck
