I hear your frustration.
The problem with a rights issue, as I see it, is 2-fold.
1) It takes time, a luxury that the company does not have right now.
2) The last rights issue was undersubscribed and indeed supported by the company's biggest shareholder, who took a substantial amount.
For now, I think you'll have to be content knowing you can still buy $5000 worth at 0.001 (not 0.002) and someone else will be making $500 out of it. This will stop, I think, when the deals in play complete and/or when a decent sale comes through. Then you might regret not having taken more at 0.001!!
By the way, if you had $100,000, I think the company would probably sell to you at 0.0009 or maybe even 0.0008. Get a few mates together and go to the company!
