Kippa is correct, this will not happen before the election. If the ALP are re-elected they would have a mandate for this and so be it. Re-election however is doubtful. The .05% will only partially fund the NDIS more money will have to be found on top of this amount. Apparently it will not cover Brain disability only physical according to a radio report I heard this morning. So what happens to the Downs syndrome, Asbergers, Autistic people not to mention quite a few others. I for one do not have a problem with each taxpayer paying a premium for disability insurance. There for the grace of God go you or I. But it is all smoke and mirrors, lots of talk and no action will follow, but wait, lots more jobs with probably very high wages and people with invested interest will benefit not the disabled is my belief. We will have to wait and see what happens at election time and then await the new government's policy regarding this and everything else.
