Kidney may not have the dual blood supply like the lung and the liver, but like the lung and the liver they do have a rich blood supply which should be easy to access with a catheter, discrete lobes which might be individually embolised, and like the lung there are two of them.

What is perhaps more important than those factors is the sensitivity of the tumors to radiation, and how well the catheter can access and target the tumor, since the major point would be to treat the renal carcinoma in patients in whom surgery is contraindicated. In the end, I think we'll just have to wait and see how the trial progresses. Maybe it will work, maybe not, maybe it depends on the tumor type and location.

As for the spleen, I guess most people would just take it out. A skilled surgeon can do that fairly easily.
